Our standards

The rules we won't bend to make a sale.

Pet supplements are a lightly policed shelf. Anyone can print "high strength" on a tub, list twelve ingredients, and never tell you how much of any of them is in there. These are the commitments behind VETIX® — including the two that cost us something.

01

We publish every inclusion rate

If an ingredient is in a VETIX® formula, its milligram amount per chew is printed on the tub and listed on this site. No proprietary blends. No trademarked ingredient name standing in for a number you are not allowed to see. A formula that is worth buying can survive being read.

02

One chew should be a dose

The oldest trick in the category is to spread a thin formula across a four-chew serving so the ingredient list looks generous and the daily cost looks low. We size the chew so that a small dog gets a complete daily dose from one of them, and a large dog from three. The feeding guide and the ingredient panel tell the same story.

03

We say where it is made, plainly

VETIX® formulas are developed in the UK, on veterinary and nutritional advice, before a single ingredient is signed off. Manufacture is carried out at a GMP-certified facility, and the country of origin is printed on the tub and stated on the listing rather than buried. "Formulated in the UK" means exactly that, and we will not stretch it into something it isn't.

04

Every batch is tested

Each production lot is batch tested and carries a certificate of analysis, and retention samples are kept. It is the least interesting standard on this page and the one that matters most on the day something goes wrong.

05

We don't make medical claims

VETIX® products are complementary pet foods, not veterinary medicines. We describe support for normal joint function and everyday mobility. We do not talk about treating, curing or preventing conditions, and we do not call our formulas vet-approved on the strength of having taken veterinary advice. Those are different things, and the difference is not a technicality.

06

We compare on numbers, not insinuation

You will not find us implying that other brands have something to hide. Where we compare, we compare published figures you can check on two labels in under a minute — milligrams per serving, chews per tub, servings per day. If our formula needs a smear to look good, it isn't good enough.

Where this came from

A standard is only worth writing down if it costs you something.

Publishing inclusion rates means a competitor can read our formula. Printing country of origin plainly means giving up a marketing line that others use freely. Refusing medical language means we cannot write the headline that would convert best.

We think those are the right trades for a brand that wants to be here in ten years, selling to people who read labels for a living.
